About the event

Soprano Penelope Appleyard (Apollo 5, Fair Oriana) accompanied by Jonathan Delbridge on an 1814 Broadwood Square Piano, very similar to that owned by Jane Austen, presents the “Head vs Heart” love story of Jane Austen and music in celebration of her 250th anniversary. Both entertaining and informative, this innovative and intimate concert programme invites audiences into Austen’s drawing room to investigate her relationship with music, emotion and romance.
